On Tuesday evening the Lord Mayor of Dublin invited all of the Muslim Sisters of Éire soup run team for a night of recognition of the sheer commitment to our work for the homeless. The Lord Mayor suggested some scrolls to be given out and who we would like to put forward.
This year we concentrate on the food business who support us week in and week out with hot food.
They rightly deserved that recognition, for without them we would have no hot food. A huge thank you, also we added two more scrolls to Islamic Relief Ireland for their support to not only Muslim Sisters of Eire but the sheer scale of the work they do in fundraising for Gazza.
Our final organisation is a small youth organisation One Body One Ummah who in the depth of winter early in the year, swims the 26 counties in a week for our homeless campaign.
So well done everyone, it's a team of amazing people
