Muslim Sisters of Éire Limerick – November, December. January & Youth Wing Highlights
The final months of the year were filled with learning, connection, and community spirit as Muslim Sisters of Éire Limerick hosted and participated in a series of meaningful events across the city. Alongside this, our youth wing — Muslim Girls of Éire — returned with renewed energy, creating safe, joyful spaces for young girls to connect, learn, and have fun together.
November: Learning, Wellness & Youth Empowerment 18th November – Health & Wellness Morning, Strand Hotel
We hosted a deeply informative Health and Wellness Morning at the Strand Hotel, bringing women together for open conversations on topics often left unspoken. Our guest speakers covered domestic violence awareness, perimenopause, cervical cancer, and holistic healing—offering knowledge, support, and practical guidance. The morning created a safe, empowering space for women to learn, reflect, and connect.
14th November – Science Week Quiz at UL
As part of Science Week, we joined UL Access Campus and LCETB to co-organise an exciting quiz for four local primary schools. Muslim Sisters of Éire Limerick had the honour of judging the three practical rounds, where students showcased teamwork and creativity through challenges like building Da Vinci bridges, constructing towers, and fitting T‑shapes into a circle.
This event was especially meaningful as the entire concept came from our youngest team member—seeing her idea come to life was a proud moment for us all. We were delighted to have our name engraved on the trophy, marking the beginning of what will now be an annual tradition.
December: Joy, Play & Winter Fun Games & Coffee Morning – North Star Building

We kicked off December with a lively games and coffee morning that brought together women of all ages for a relaxed, laughter‑filled gathering. From Uno and 5 Second Rule to Snakes & Ladders and Articulate, the room was full of friendly competition and warm conversation. With refreshments and hot drinks flowing, it was a beautiful reminder of the power of simple moments shared in good company.

To wrap up the year, we organised a fun ice‑skating outing for the girls at Limerick on Ice. The rink was filled with smiles, excitement, and the occasional tumble—all part of the joy of trying something new together. It was heartwarming to see the girls support one another, laugh freely, and create memories to carry into the new year.
20th January - Coffee, Connection & Self-Care
