We were quite busy these past few months, in addition to our regular work, we hosted and were involved in a number of events and project.

Below is a flavour from some of them.

International Women's Day Iftaar

Date: March 8th, 2025

We were delighted to host our first-ever International Women's Day Iftaar, an event that brought together women from diverse backgrounds to celebrate the power and resilience of womanhood. The evening was an inspiring mix of community bonding, deep reflection, and delicious food, creating an atmosphere of unity and connection.

This gathering allowed us to honour women from various generations and cultures, while fostering an environment that embraced inclusivity, diversity, and interracial dialogue. It was a safe and welcoming space where women could share their stories, build sisterhood, and celebrate the essence of womanhood in all its forms.

The event’s success reaffirmed the power of collective strength and the importance of uplifting women within our communities.

Rebuilding Gaza: Fundraising Iftar

Date: March 23rd, 2025

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who attended, supported, donated, and prayed during our first Rebuilding Gaza Fundraising Iftar, held in collaboration with Ummah Welfare Trust. Thanks to your unwavering generosity, we raised an impressive €38,000 to support urgent rebuilding efforts in Gaza.

The evening was marked by heartfelt duas, inspiring speeches, and a profound sense of unity. People from various backgrounds and faiths came together, exemplifying cross-community solidarity and compassion. The success of this event is a testament to what can be achieved when communities unite for a shared cause, and we are deeply moved by the collective spirit.

Your contributions will have a lasting impact on the ground, and we ask that every prayer, every donation, and every effort be accepted and rewarded in full.

Brothers In Hostels - Ramadan 2025 Urgent Appeal

Date: Ongoing throughout the month of Ramadan.

In our first-ever initiative to support vulnerable brothers residing in hostels during Ramadan, we launched an urgent appeal to provide food and essentials.

Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our donors and volunteers, we successfully prepared and distributed 250 food bags throughout the month. Each bag was filled with love and nourishment, reflecting our commitment to supporting those in need.

This campaign was not only about providing sustenance but also about demonstrating the power of compassion, inclusion, and the spirit of togetherness that defines our community.

Qur’an, Arabic & Translation Classes – Direct Provision Centres

Date: Mid-February 2025

Our first-ever Qur’an, Arabic, and translation classes specifically for women residing in Direct Provision centres across Dublin commenced in mid-February 2025.

These weekly classes create a consistent and supportive space for spiritual growth and learning, regardless of location. The classes are designed to empower women by teaching Qur’an recitation, Arabic, and translation—allowing them to understand the message of the Qur’an more deeply.

This initiative reflects our continued commitment to fostering inclusivity, accessibility, and empowering marginalised women in our community. Through this, we are not only providing knowledge but also building a strong spiritual foundation for the women involved.

Corporate

Eid at Deloitte

We were truly honoured to be invited once again to speak at Deloitte’s annual Eid celebration and to share the incredible charity work we do at Muslim Sisters of Éire.

In a world where difference can sometimes divide, it’s deeply encouraging to see large corporate organisations like Deloitte embracing diversity and creating inclusive spaces where all faiths and cultures are acknowledged and celebrated.

Eid is not only a spiritual celebration, but also a time of unity, gratitude, and community. To see these values echoed in a professional setting reminds us of the positive strides being made toward genuine representation and belonging in the workplace.

We thank Deloitte for their continued support and for giving us the opportunity to highlight the work we do with vulnerable communities across Ireland. Events like these show the beauty of what can be achieved when inclusion is more than a buzzword—it’s a practice.
